Residents in Meadow Way the other weekend may have been blissfully unaware of the passing of a very rare occurrence. Yes my neighbour Darren Deeley actually picked up a paint brush and did some DIY. What was even stranger, is that it was my side of the fence he was painting!

When interviewed Darren admitted that it was only the second time he had ever done any DIY.

As for his future DIY plans, rumours of a gate into Murray's garden or an adjoining shed have been muted. Who knows perhaps we could get Darren to run a DIY Forum here on darrylshort.com
